Clinker built boats

Anyone have any experiance with clinker built boats? 

Been a dream of mine to  build a small clinker boat 20 ft or so..  now that  my mill is up and running  its more of a possibility..  

Been researching  old plans / designs but would  love anyones hands on experiance.. plans  look easy  but everything  looks good  on paper....

I had to look it up as well.. I had heard of lapstrake, but not clinker..

To G-man. I have 0 experience.   Very interested though. I let my subscription run out but I subscribed to Wooden Boat buildi g for years. Building a wooden boat is on my list of things to do when I retire. I'm thinking 40' though..

I also had to look it up. Looks like a great project. Some of the most beautiful boats I’ve seen have been hand built from wood.

Id really like to make a byrding.  ( a light viking merchant ship)  i have found a few plans online of smaller ships.. but i guess its go big or go home...  dream would be a long ship but that is out of reach financially  as it would take about 600k

20ft byrding  may take me couple of years  if i did completly traditional
