The Martyr award..

So, for those that got a permanent vacation from the "other" site for posting a link to this site, Matt has created the Martyr award. 

@boo711 is the first member to receive this newly created award.  We know there are a few others that are deserving of this prestigious award.  

This is not to become a bash the other site thread. I still contribute occasionally, and there is nothing wrong with visiting both places.  It's just a fun way to recognize how silly the other site is being.  

So if you sacrificed yourself to the ban hammer.  Let us know.

So before anyone gets worked up over this, I just thought it was a light hearted way of highlighting the silliness going on.  Really, this site was established to support its members and for you guys and gals to enjoy being here.  Yesterday I heard what was going on over there and upon reviewing it saw @boo711 post this site's address there despite the ban warnings for doing so.  As such I created the award here and awarded it to him for taking one for the team!  He's the first to officially earn it, but I have a feeling there's a few who suffered the ban stick and are equally deserving!

OK, to qualify, the ban has to be relative to mentioning this site to point out it's undeniable appeal for all members!

Straight up, I’m not offended, worked up or whatever, but this is weird. I guess I just don’t see the appeal and don’t see how this comes off as anything positive for either site.

I agree. No skin off my back either. But I guess I don't understand why to have 3-4 topics about a site that 80% of us left because we had issues with it, then to go on about it months later.  I don't get it.  We should be over this and no reason to bash others.  It's not becoming either for new members in my opinion.   Let's move on, talk about hunting and fishing and let the others be.  

I didn't come to the other site to read overwhelming politics and didn't come to this site to read about the old one.  

But it's all good.  Im sure it will fade with time.

I agree no harm just don't think it's needed.  Prob because we've had multiple other threads about the old site in the last week. Just think we need to move on and dont think it looks great on this site.  Like Phade not upset or skinned by this just don't see the need or the fun in it.
