This one is really cool because he is my heaviest at 217lbs and quite memorable because of his relatively small 8pt rack. i remember you posting that first one. brute of a deer. the second i'm pretty sure has been photoshopped and around the internet as a 400+ lb deer. lol Lawdwaz 1
dbHunterNY Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 I'll post my biggest out of state buck. Haven't hit up the midwest yet. This is from 2021 in central Kentucky. Not done yet as I was hunting for a 20+" replacement cape. Should get it back any day now. Its drying, getting a hair cut, and detailing. No hero shots on the mountain we leased. A local neighbor near the access at the bottom of the mountain where we had the truck was very unhappy we were hunting there. 518BowSlayer, G-man, Robhuntandfish and 3 others 6

Wolc123 Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 (edited) This is the biggest buck that I was able to tag with a dmp (made the cut by 1/4”). I have not yet ran the numbers on the weight from the PA chest girth chart, with the WMU 9F NY correction factor applied, but I’m guessing 140ish pounds field dressed. This buck was killed on Thanksgiving morning 2022 and was carrying lots of fat. Edited February 24, 2023 by Wolc123 Rusty and Spysar 2

The second pic is big old muzzleloader doe from back in the day. i took a horse of a doe on the family farm right behind the barnyard. looked like a dairy cow she was so skinny and large framed. didn't send out teeth to deer age or any other lab but based on wear she was at least 8.5 yrs old. all the teeth were flat as a pancake and barely above the gum line. PA chest girth chart would've said 305ish lbs but when i hung her up the scale said 95 lbs. took the scale apart and tried multiple times. 95lbs on the dot each time. had a much smaller looking 3.5 yr old doe next to her that was nice and fat. she weighed 135 or something like that. i'd let the big bodied doe typically breed and live but heaviest we get seems to be around high 160s for here in WMU 4C.
