I like this, I need a smaller frame but the youth ones are too small

I can hook you up with some if you want. Custom made here in NY. I know QB is NY based but not sure where production is.  In fact I believe I have some small frame adult on hand.

Me too, I just take reg calls and cut 1/8"off of them. Texture matters more to me, QB tape is too smooth, I prefer HS strut, tape is a little more course.  If that makes any sense.

Yep just checked, I have small frame adult and small frame youth in addition to adult size.

What cut patterns do you have in small frame adult?

I’d have to check again what patterns I have on hand but I can get nearly any specifics made someone would want. Double, triple, quad reeds all kinds of cuts. Higher end materials too.

I think one of them was a batwing. But I’d have to check to be sure.

Ok.  I like triple reed aggressive raspy cuts.  I'll do some looking on what cuts I like.

I know that is where they are based but is production run there? It’s been a long time since I’ve spoke with Ernie and the team there.

Let me know. I have a double that is really raspy that I like. I am not the world’s biggest / best Turkey hunter but that particular call has been really effective. The quad Reed one has a super high end material and it’s an experienced callers call but wow does it make sound lol.

The person making these has a branding direct to consumer but it’s pretty “aggressive” in terms of social media and content. Such that Scheels and a few other places were willing to order and stock if he were to change his branding. It’s not PC per say. Since the branding was doing well he opted not to pursue since changing brand is such a hit or miss thing. The calls - mouth, pot, box, get rave reviews and following though.

He has some strong Turkey background - his grandfather was a pioneer in NYS for Turkey hunting and the NWTF. He also has been Rob Keck’s personal videographer for a long time, amongst others. Used to film for the company that owned Avian. Hunting wise, he is lights out with birds. He’s the guy I will call first if I’m hung up on a bird or need ideas on how to set up. Also films a lot for that TV show with the guy who was Tony Stewart’s crew chief. Forget his name but he’s filmed him the past several years now for deer season.

That has to be Greg Zipadelli.  Seen a bunch of his videos over the yrs.  Had his own show on outdoor channel for a while, not sure if it's still on or not.

The double your describing sounds interesting.  Do you have a cut pattern and reed chart?
