Bucks Strolling By Stands

Had a group of 4 bucks in my back yard last week (2/21), including a decent 7pt in the mix. When they exited, I thought there was a good chance they would walk by a cam. They took quite a tour of the place and ended up walking by 4 cams and within 10-15 yards of two stands!

Got to love having next fall’s inventory!  My bucks all shed early for the most part although I haven’t checked cams in weeks.

Geeze.  I'm glassing my fields. Some are hidden, but easy to glass from farm lanes. Haven't seen a horn since early January. Lots of shed bucks though.

I've got 8-10 resident deer in my yard since spring.  Watched the same 3 bucks from nubs to hard to dropped. 

The two farms I hunt we had to be very careful not to shoot a shed buck during the holiday hunt.  Seen many shed bucks that just about got shot thinking they were does, along with multiple half rack bucks from spikes to 5 pts on one side.

Pretty cool to see bucks still carrying their headgear. We haven't seen any still carrying since mid January.

When I see that order, I always think the  big guy knows better to let the smaller bucks take point!

Weird that I never got pics of the 7pt at all last summer or fall. Actually, this was the one and only time I had pics of him since.
