Yup starting seeds next Monday. Garlic and shallots planted in early November look good so far.

Garlic.  That will take up one complete raised bed, lol.  My dad grew garlic and had 3 different varieties.

No, But now I am! lol. Would like to start lettuce and tomatoes early and have them ripen throughout the  grow season

I find the local greenhouse does a much better  job at growing those than myself. I buy tomato that already have tomato and blossoms on them in april ..

I planted 275 cloves of garlic. German Xtrhardy gives me the best bulbs. Music City has the best taste. I replant some of my bigger cloves, buy the rest from Johnny Seeds and Hudson Valley Seeds. I get better results from Johnny's.

I will start some jalapeño and cherry peppers soon as well as some seeds I kept from plum tomatoes from Italy.

Normally I do tomatoes but end up with too many of the same variety- how many cherry tomatoes can I eat? I will buy a few varieties from a local shop instead. Cucumbers I'll start as well but not as early as the pepppers

I'm just happy to be to talking about planting and spring.

I buy tomato plants and pepper plants as they just seem to do better than me doing seeds.  And I only plant about 3-4 of each and for the amount of money it's worth it. If I was doing a larger garden then maybe.

But I did buy swiss chard and green onion seeds already.
