Upstate Nerdneck Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 I'd say 5, doesn't have that reverse T-Rex look 3/4 year olds tend to when they're rutted up. Just a GD tank through his entire body. grampy and yfki1983 2
BowmanMike Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 The rack doesn't seem that big for his age,but the body sure does. I would guess at least 4.5 years old. yfki1983 1

Swayed back. That’s 5.5 or older. The swollen neck during the rut and often antlers can trip you up, but the body seldom lies. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s 6.5. But all of 5.5. Just my opinion. I say five years old. We have mature bucks with 115 inch racks here. And will dress out around 200lbs. Size of the antlers can throw off an age estimate. But body size never lies. There’s one I’ve been watching who weighs all of 200 but maybe is 115” and he’s a minimum of 4.5. grampy and yfki1983 2
yfki1983 Posted November 11, 2022 Author Posted November 11, 2022 I wonder if his antlers would look bigger when he's on the ground [emoji1]. I thought the neck on mine was swollen. This guys double. Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk

It’s why a 300 lb 150” Saskatchewan buck looks like he has a small rack compared to a 120 lb Texas 150” buck that looks like a Booner. cervidchasers, BowmanMike, Rusty and 1 other 3 1 "A sinking fly is closer to Hell" - Anonymous https://www.troutscapes.com https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board
Robhuntandfish Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 (edited) Def can't go by the rack alone. Here's a 6 point I believe is 6.5.
