The Time is now to get yor fruit trees pruned!   Cutting out dead limbs and water sprouts will promote a healthier tree and more blossoms.   Even a limb here and there helps especiall on old wild trees..  its also time to release apple trees from surrounding shade trees to keep.them livley and producing

Is this also true for all trees? I have a Japanese maple that has been struggling- I cut a ton of dead branches last spring and hoping what remains is solid
