Splitear Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Might as well get this one fired up. I picked this book up at a used book store today. All I can say is “Wow!”. Rusty, Bucksnbows and nywaw 3

The other book is kind of a classic, too. Pat Manus article "The last laugh" on the back page of Outdoor life was the first thing I read every month. Ncountry 1
rcolman018 Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Just started reading Endure by Cam Hames. Not quite as good as David Googins… but so far pretty good.
biggamefish Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Just got into "where the birds never sing" by Jack sacco. About WW2. Good so far.
Bolt Action Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Starting the game of Thrones series. Thoughts so far? Too many damn characters! Lol

Lol I’ve talked with several people who hated how it jumped from character to character. I really enjoyed the books, but could never get into the HBO series. Rusty 1
left field Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Just picked these up. I normally don't read fly-fishing writing as it affects my own writing, but I heard Robert speak last month and he is a great storyteller. And Dylan and I have a lot of ,mutual acquaintances. And the other book that is never far from me these days is "On Writing". Bucksnbows and crappyice 2 My Instagram

The_Real_TCIII Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Starting the game of Thrones series. Thoughts so far? Too many damn characters! Lol I read them on my Kindle, which sucks because you cant jump to the maps and family trees easily which would be helpful. I just finished the new one which is not nearly as good as the first seriesSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Bolt Action 1

I use my library with "Libby", but have started a subscription with Scribd. I used Audible for a while, but it was expensive, and I'd burn through a book in a few weeks and either have to buy a new one or wait for my next credit. Scribd is like $12 a month, and it's kind of like Netflix for books and audiobooks. I've found most everything I want to read/listen too on there, and if I start something I don't like, I just unsave it and start a new one. *I don't work for Scribd :)

Otto Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 If you use Libby, be sure to subscribe the the NY Public Library (in NYC). They have the largest selection of books, magazines, etc. plus more copies of each title than your local library. Splitear, Ncountry and crappyice 3
