blackbeltbill
I have yet to kill a Gobbler with my old J.C. Higgins/Sears Robuck 16 gauge. Bolt action and a flat safety that is pushed forward when ready to fire. 26" barrel that is marked- Full. I had to fabricate a Trigger guard for it and the carriage is Long gone. I have 1 Shot + 1 Bead. Head Down Son- lol. I painted the whole Shotgun Green and taped a Oak Leaf on each side of the Stock for Luck before painting. It patterns great and,I will have it out soon again. Using Remington Pheasant Ammo in 16 Gauge- 1 1/8 ozs of #6s. Some pics below. Splitear
Good luck Bill! My friend and I will be hunting together with BP shotguns, he with his 20ga. Fowler, and I’ll be taking the antique 10 bore I purchased a few months ago. Spaceman Spiff, 2012-Taco, mowin and 3 others 5

I plan on figuring out a load with it once it warms up a bit. Probably 6's or 7's and then I'll just need to figure out a charge. Regardless, it should be fun Edited March 9 by Splitear blackbeltbill and mowin
