I've spent alot of time on this piece, most of my hunts for many years . Roughly 20 years ago or so it was basically clear cut.. I remember picking  gallons of blackberries with my kid in one of those backpack/ kid carriers . Ruined a pair of pants or two thrashing through the briars..

I spent some time fishing a few of those reservoirs one summer.  Fishing wasn't really great in any of them but the scenery was amazing and pretty much no one around.

Yeah, I've mulled the idea of having a camp on one of them. Fishing, boating, and state land along much of the shorelines. The fishing is not great though. We used to fish below many of the powerhouses, jigging for walleye. It was fun, but you would catch 50 walleye before catching a legal sized limit. They have restricted access and enforced  the rules  to most of the good spots since 9/11.

The days of jockeying around the fence,  across the building,  and walking the top of the dam to an island to fish are gone..lol

We fished Carry falls, higley, 5 falls and one other I can't remember.  Really liked 5 falls.  Caught a few northern out of there and it was a neat spot to explore.  Caught more fish in Carry falls but a lot of small ones like you said.  We had a good time though. Fished all day and had a shore lunch of venison speedies and hotdogs on Carry falls.

Nice, Carry is my favorite to go out and spend a day with family. If it's mid summer or later, there are miles of sandy shorelines above the waterline to play on. I lucked out and caught a 39" pike from Five Falls once. It was a good 20" longer than any pike I had caught before out of there.lol

Wow. Yeah that's a beauty!

We only spent a day out there on Carry and it was so big we were just trying to find the right area.  Caught a few real nice smallmouth in there, but a lot of little ones.   Wind came up too and we had to try some protected areas.

Def a nice location up there. Could take a lifetime exploring all those reservoirs.  Would be a great spot to have a camp.  I don't think it was ever too great for deer hunting but still lots of areas to roam.

No , hunting isn't great. There are some nice bucks to be found, but the deer population is pretty scarce. Deer weight far outpointed antler inches on any of the decent bucks I've ever killed in that area.. The fun part was the room to roam and explore. Definitely not farm country though. We live down in the "valley"  and would drive  the 30 minutes up into the hills to see way less deer.. ;)
