.475 Linebaugh

The handgun hunting talk on here got me in gear to grab a couple revolvers and get them sighted in with new optics today before and during the rain.

 

First was the Magnum Research BFR .475 Linebaugh with an Ultradot on it. Took a few shots, but got her dialed with 400gr XTP’s.

 

Next was a 6” GP100 with a Weigand Mini Mount and a Burris FastFire 3. This one took more shots, but she’s set now too.

 

Who knows, maybe I’ll tote them along a few times this year.

Um where’s the pictures ? Hand gun porn is my second favorite kind of porn. 
How do you like the BFR ? I fondled one in 45-70 for some time but ended up not getting it. What was the load you were shooting out of the GP ?  My wife has hunted with hers a few times , a half lug with a weigand mount and a ultradot . I’ve got her shooting 158 grain wide meplat Keith typ  hard cast’s . 
Oh and a easy way to tote them is just leave the rifle  at home .

They’re dirty, but here they are. I’ve handloaded a lot for both of these calibers (used to have several Ruger Super RedHawks and one was a .480 Ruger), but these are both factory rounds. The .475 is a 400gr Hornady XTP. The .357 is a Remington is a 180gr. SJHP. Not sure I’d use that load on a deer.
