I have grunted in several bucks.  I also use it when they are walking away or not in bow range.  My buck in 2020 was nose to ground thru the woods and at 70 yards. Grunted at him and he stopped and came out to the cut cornfield at 37 y.

This year had a small 6 that was walking down the other way on a trail.  Had to grunt 5 times to get his attention.  But he did a 180 and came right to me.  Didn't send it as I couldn't get a shot and had to talk myself into drawing on him.

But I have called in several bucks.  The bleat can on the other hand never had any luck with that.  I have rattled in a buck before as well. But only once have had it work.

Last season I grunted in 2 big bucks at once. I got a hit on a cell cam 150 or so yards away.. I could see they were headed my way but out of range. When they got to 80 yards I could see them. I grunted and one came at me on a b line but hung up at 30 in the brushy I grunted again and the other took the same path stopping 5 yards behind him. I let out a few more soft grunts but they were frozen in place wouldn’t move…. That is until they bolted as another hunter came walking straight towards my stand from the opposite direction…. I was so focused on them I didn’t see him coming
