A warm day and the boys are getting excited!

Spring has sprung
Mating season has begun
Things are greening,starting to  grow
Ice has melted, the creeks really flow

The sun starts to rise and brighten the sky
A flock of mallards  quack flying by
Birds singing to attract a mate
Guess it's one way to ask for a date

A yelp in the distance
A gobbler replies
That puts a smile on my face
And brings a tear to my eye

Sends shivers up one's spine
Happens over and over, time after time
Hens yelp in response,Not to far away
Perhaps I'll see him strutting in the field today!

Loaded up!  Hopefully they hang around, you need a few hens! :)

I have way to many hens.  One reason i target a hen in fall.
