Rusty
A member on our NJ site has an opening for 2 hunters on his Kansas lease. One of our NJ guys is looking for another hunter to team up with to split the costs. Here's the info if you are interested. https://www.njwoodsandwater.com/forums/topic/61545-diy-kansas-lease-available-for-2-hunters/#comments

Spysar
I went back to look at the hunt thread. It actually sounds like a good hunt. It says 14 days of ML , I wonder if you can hunt all of the 14 days?? If so , that's nice. And is it an over the counter tag?

If I’m wrong, I’ll post a correction. nywaw
Our friend has been hunting there for many years. This is an excellent opportunity. If I didn't have two young kids, I'd be all over this. Maybe in a few more years. Good luck if someone grabs it! SplitRockOutdoors
Hey NY forum!! I've got one of the spots, I am looking for a buddy to come along. We can split the travel/ lodging costs. I am planning on getting an air BnB. I will drive us in my 2022 model year truck (reliable transportation) which will allow us to bring home meat, and take our muzzleloaders without worrying about airports etc. If interested send me a PM. Rusty
Just to clarify, each guy gets his own property. You will be the only one hunting your piece. Live to Hunt

Spysar
I thought about this. You can't plan on going because it's a draw. It also seems that this could be a bowhunt? The seasons run together. I also wonder if the area has seen EHD at all? A 14 day diy hunt is very appealing though.

Our guy is something like 13 for 14 years on his draw success. I believe muzzleloader and archery are distinct separate seasons, at least where he hunts which is not too far from Wichita. That's pretty good success on the draws. I wonder if it's a general tag, or specific to the weapon? Live to Hunt

I wonder if it's a general tag, or specific to the weapon? The outfitter, Jeff, only allows one hunter on the property at a time. No overlap of archery and muzzleloader on his leases. Other leases may be run differently. Our buddy has it for a full month each fall and he hunts the rut. He takes all his vacation time for his hunting trips.
