Hit the ignore button on the top of the topic page.  I think that might remove it from your recent topics page. 

I'll ask Matt to be sure.

That is exactly what the “ignore” button does for you. Lots of posters use it on the NJ site because we have a dozen or so from both sides of the political aisle that like to hear themselves argue all day and night. No reason you need to follow it too.

All this stuff has been argued ad infinitum on the other forum. There's need to bring it up here or post the same thing on both sites, Bill.

unfortunately the sub forum includes news and media and other good stuff. It's my only complaint with this site if I'm honest (not that anyone cares). If politics was broken out by itself many could ignore it without missing good stuff like ny taxing ammo, spy balloons, field and stream closing and a snowmoibiler who died. 

But also it's just one guy hanging from trumps n*ts too. We found with papist and grouse at HNY that was all it took though.

Personally, I’ve never once used the ignore feature. I have enough self control to simply scroll past the constant political posts. As a moderator, I jump in when I see one of those posts blow up because it typically means there are personal attacks going on or that the post long ago ran its course and needs to be locked. So far, this site is nearly devoid of political posts compared to others.

You can also ignore topics (threads). Might be helpful if you don’t want to see specific content.

I've never used ignore as well for sub forum, topic or person. As you say, the nice thing about this forum is that it's devoid of political posts. My guess is that most members scan the other site as well, so there's no need to double post partisan politics.

Yea I gave up on the political stuff whats the point all you get is hate mail back and then certain guys think its fun to have 5 or 6  acounts  and take both sides.                                                                        /|\

Not important I'm not getting sucked into this again.  There is more then one of them right on this thread that I know do that for what ever reason.  Or at least  I  know they do it on the other site . Here I dont know .

  Phantom- since,I am the Author of this older Thread,I hope you don't  think that,I would put in for Multiple  accounts on this new site or even the old site.

    I did not think that was even possible. 

   I still have no Home Computer. You read that right. I am Book Smart and Technology Naive in many areas. Pay all my Bills the old fashioned  way. Only use my 1 Credit Card for emergency  repairs to my 20 year old SUV.

   I think what people  remember is my Multiple usernames on the old site . My Late Girlfriend  Patti warned me about using my real name on the old site. So,I changed to Odysseus- The Clever - Older warrior in the Trojan War and on the Greek Side. Then on to - old man river. And finally to blackbeltbill.  The last username is a keeper.

    All that is just 1 Account.

     Put anything in front of me that needs to be Fabricated and,I will do better then most. 

  On the Flip side- my Brand New TV will probably  take me 6 Months to fully figure out.
