couldnt believe it but have seen twin fawns already.   Seems super early but there they were. I even pulled to the shoulder of the road to check them out.  Saw them once last week and another person just told me they saw fawns and it was the same field.  Must be climate change forcing a Sept rut!  lol

If so, the doe was bred in September!  Wow!

I saw them laying in a bare field with Mom standing there and a couple others wandering around.  Had to turn around and park and one stood up.  They were so tiny I knew they had to be fawns when I first saw them but couldn't believe it.

Then one of my staff comes in today and says he saw two fawns already and it was the exact same spot.  7J area in cny.

Must be a crazy fluke?

crazy and some bucks still holding antlers. I watched the 8pt I shot on 11/21 physically mount a doe- things seem to be later and later each year, but maybe other parts of state moving earlier. I guess it all evens out.

I always thought that usually start seeing the earliest of fawns around May 1 but this was a shocker.

That's incredible.  Try and get a pic.  Earliest I've seen fawns is late April.

I was going thru there for work and it wasnt a great place to stop on the road.  Not where I go thru everyday or I would be on the lookout and get a pic for sure.

Cool observation Rob!!! I've never seen fawns drop this early?? I've seen them in mid April a couple times. So a doe dropping them this early is really rare.  Just when ya think you've seen it all, those deer surprise us every time!!

Late March when the birds begin breeding a few fawns slowly begin dropping as well. Always those early and late ones.. I hear it or see it every year. Good stuff!  Last year i seen a fresh fawn in March, and a few days later we got dumped on by snow.. Wish i knew how the fawn made out..
