mowin
I really enjoy helping new or first time hunters tag that first critter. I've hosted a few members over the yrs during turkey season and deer season. I met Arron on the old site about a yr ago when he was asking about public lands in my area. We got to chatting, and I offered to take him to one of my private land spots. He ended up getting a spike that evening. His first deer. Both of us were ecstatic. This is his first yr bowhunting, and I'm putting him on one of my best stands this afternoon. Maybe he'll get his first opportunity to harvest a deer with a bow. Maybe he'll take the big 8 I missed a week or so ago, or a big doe. All's I know I'll be on stand nervously waiting for him to text me. blackbeltbill
I have given away my Best Early Days of May to my Brother in Law- Mark, then 3 Years helping Jeanine out and the last 3 Years helping out Cynthia here. No telling how many more Toms,I would have bagged- lol! Now in Spring Turkey Hunting there is a tradition of not helping out someone on that prized opener of May 1st. So,I might do that for once next May 1st opener. I helped out those 3 people because when,I started out,I had no Mentor. I was on my own. Even today there are plenty of Turkey Killers out there who have some Age on their Ass and would never think of taking someone out who has not taken a Big Bird. Forget about your continuing upward Gobbler Tally. Take that Greenhorn out! mowin, Otto and Meatball 3 Take The Multiple Use Area Challenge.
