PA elk guides

Entering lottery and looking for info about the areas(need freindly topography. Getting up in age) and would probably do best with local guide. Not sure which unit. Anyone ever get drawn and use guide

Good luck! Idk anyone personally who has ever been drawn, but tons try. Monster bulls taken every year, but drawing is the like winning the lottery

I've done it for years and nothing. Chances are def slim.

Cow, bull or either sex?  Zone?  Do you have any points accumulated already?  Most of your questions can be answered on the PA elk draw pages.

you don't have to worry about finding a guide unless you are the luckiest person in the world to draw in their first year lol

I just signed in now. I now have 11 pts for regular elk and 4pts for the newer archery elk. This year I chose unit 12 antlered archery season and antlered fallback. Same for gun (regular season)

I picked all units for anything I can get. Figured it betters my odds which aren't great still.  If I got anything just going to PA is worth it for any tag. If I had to go out west it would be different.

My 2 hunting partners father was drawn either last year or the year before. He shot a slob with a crossbow. Also funny he won a raffle years ago for a Kentucky hunt and shot a bull there too. He's been a pretty lucky guy!
