Tumor/Growth on Deer

I've been getting trailcam pics and seeing this deer in my yard all winter. It has a big tumor or growth on it's front leg. It doesn't seem to bother it as it puts weight on it and doesn't limp. I recently remembered getting pics of a fawn in the summer of 2021 in my yard that had a nasty looking gash in it's front leg, that I figured might die from infection. I started to wonder if it could be the same deer.? I'm thinking it probably is as this is a young deer and I see it in the same immediate area and in my back yard as I did the fawn.

Very well could be.  I'd hate to cut into that mass..

Probably same deer and that is a big abscess.  It will stink unbearably if opened.

It comes into my yard so often, my wife has named it. I can promise you, there’s no chance of me cutting into it! LOL

Wow, that's some abscess!  I think you found it as a fawn.  Odd the abscess remains later, I would have thought the body would have fought it all off by now.

Looks  like  infection  formed a cyst ..  probably just under hide as it doenst seem to be effected  by it. .

More amazing is that it didn't pop it on some branch or fence. As crazy as these things run through the woods sometimes I'd have expected it to blow by now.
