Buck Still Working Mock Scrape 2/20/23

Nice day, so I couldn't resist running out to check cams. Funny that I still had several bucks hitting the mock scrape I made last fall! Hopefully they'll take it over next year. Got a pretty cool sequence.

 

 

 

I recognized him as the same 7pt that was in my back yard last month.

It’s always a mystery as to which scrapes will become community scrapes and get hit off and on year round and which are just associated with the rut in fall.

During January - March, he's been at the scrape several times each week, yet he never hit it once during season (I keep a cam at this spot). I just remembered that he wasn't around during the fall! I had pics of this buck last summer, up until August, then he disappeared until January!
