Chef Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Just took a weird angle shot on a doe out of this wooden stand. It sounded like the limb hit the stand and I clearly missed…. Now I see white crap coming out from where the limbs meet the crossbow body
Chef Posted November 12, 2022 Author Posted November 12, 2022 I can see where it rubbed on the stand not a whack just a rub it seems fine though
Lawdwaz Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Chef you need to practice weird angle shots next summer at Tommy’s place. I don’t know if I’d trust that limb damage.
mowin Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 @Chef . Have you shot the xbow since? Is that black spacer proud of the limb pocket the same on the other side?
HeavyUser Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Limb pocket lube, I have the same on my crossbow.
dbHunterNY Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 ideally i'd want to take it to a shop and have them take it down and inspect the limbs for damage. that should let everything reset to a natural position. especially if the other side doesn't look that way. both sides should be seated the same so they're causing same forward string travel as each other with no slight horizontal or vertical travel. the grey stuff is the bedding/lube for the limb pocket.
