Just got diagnosed with alpha-gal syndrome

Recommended Posts

Ugh!  Very sorry to hear!  This is one all of us hunters do not want to get.  I spoke with a turkey hunter from the NJ site years ago who was the first to ever get it up this way, took years to identify it because it came from Texas (Lone Star tick), which were thought to not be here at the time, and he never traveled away from the Northeast.  Turns out he had exactly this, and would talk about the delayed response (many hours later) which made it very difficult to figure out what was going on.  He eventually did his own research, and insisted his doctor test for this and low and behold it's what he had.  Hoping things change in the long run for the diagnosis, treatment, and effects!
