Nomad
I call it so as we stop and visit so many of her friends and co workers who moved South . The growth down there is insane , every city has cranes up all over and their 4 or more lane expressways are all being made wider ,and I’m not sure that’ll help as more will just come . The people are WAY more polite and friendlier, I’ve never been called sir so many times in my life, even guys I’d normally give a wide birth ,are “ no worries, sir” “ after you sir “ . Traffic , while crazy is fairly easy to get around in , need to get over ? As soon as my signal went on a car would create space , big pick up gaining on me, would slow up and stay back a safe distance, not try to run you over like in NY when your just following the flow . Servers and retail workers are polite and engaging in conversation. Returning home through Ohio , as are last stop was Knoxville Tenn. you could see and feel the change in people . We have great neighbors here though , guy behind me pumped off our pool cover , and someone picked up all the fallen branches in the front yard and piled them up in the side yard . 4000 miles of driving jam packed highways , road construction, multi lane traffic circles , some which flow different the most , and nobody once blew their horn at me , one day back in Webster and that changed . We booked next year at the same condo while we were there . Prices to buy are nuts and rentals not far behind , there’s large 7 bedroom houses on the same street that rent for 20k a week ! Luckily our little two bedroom one was $1050 a week and didn’t go up to much for next year . Plus the owner brought me a bottle of vodka as thanks for me bringing in the 8 garbage totes to save him a trip over .
