NRA Precision Pistol League done

So this winter I'm on a traveling pistol team. We shoot in a league against other teams. We shoot a 30 shot national match course of fire with 22LR pistols. One 10 shot string fired in 10 minutes at an NRA B2 target. Then shoot timed fire which is two 5 shot strings with each string fired in 20 seconds. Then shoot rapid fire which is two 5 shot strings with each string fired in 10 seconds. Timed and rapid fire shot at a B3 target. All this shooting is done with a single, unsupported, hand. B2 10 ring is 0.9" in diameter and b3 x-ring  the same. Total points for 30 shots would be 300. Pictures of my targets from last match of the season. Not horrible with 263/300 but not what I consider good. These comps are not too main stream unless you follow this sort of thing. Figured it'd be interesting to post.

That is cool!  I'm sure that's pretty fun to compete.  Is this a local league?  State wide?  How does it work and who runs it?

Adirondack Foothills league, so teams from Plattsburgh to South of Albany. So just within the state. Similar matches take place nationally though at places like Camp Perry where you could compete against the US Army Marksmanship Unit team. I'll post more when outdoor matches start up.

Not bad at all.  My best was 240's.  Shot at Nassau sportsman club in Rensselaer county.

What are you running for pistol and ammo?

I've got multiple brands of ammo but all standard velocity 22LR. Right now I'm finishing up some Eley and I have CCI and Aguila target stuff I'll break into. Try to buy a case 1,000 rnds or half a case at a time. Shooting a heavily modified Ruger Mark III Hunter with 6" barrel. I've polished inside receiver by hand and all internal stock parts swapped for Volquartzen or Tandem Kross. Everything seems to group within the 0.9" x-ring. Some a little better than others but ammo is what it is now.
