Cabin Fever Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 I've come very close to ordering a couple rechargeable hand warmers, but I just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I use the Hot Hands single use packets. I like the convenience and that I can slip them in my gloves/mittens, but if they even get a little wet, they're useless. I've been eyeing the rechargeable handwarmers, but they seem kind of bulky (~6"x4"x1.5").? I figured I'd see if anyone uses them and get their thoughts on them before I order.
paula Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 This is what I have. I have only played with it sitting at home. $25 from Amazon. Turning it on low it gets warm instantly and also on low it will last for 8hrs. When you turn it off it is cold instantly. I have had it sitting here for almost 2 weeks and it still was half charged. I don't always wear gloves so I think I wouldn't buy another Cabin Fever 1
Bucksnbows Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Low tech and works great. There’s even a small zippered pocket for extra hand warmers. eaglemountainman and Cabin Fever 1 1 "A sinking fly is closer to Hell" - Anonymous https://www.troutscapes.com https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board
Bucndoe Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Just another thing to break down, save your money. They don't last long Bucksnbows 1

left field Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 As a kid in Canada, we would use a warmer that held a stick of burning charcoal. There's a lighter fluid version as well. Old tech. My Instagram
fletchny11 Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 I got one for Xmas and if it lasts one season it more than paid for itself with what I spent on chemical hand warmers. So far so good. Cabin Fever 1

Robhuntandfish Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 (edited) I use the rechargeable hand warmer and they are great. Stick one inside my muff hand warmer and good to go. The best though is the heated vest. If you don't have one can't recommend them enough. cervidchasers Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 This gets too hot on high setting and on medium lasts 4 hrs https://www.walmart.com/ip/OCOOPA-118s-Hand-Warmers-Rechargeable-5200mAh-Electric-Portable-Pocket-Heater-Heat-Therapy-Great-Raynauds-Hunting-Golf-Camping-Women-Mens-Gifts/1340622834?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=101079120&adid=22222222227000000000&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=42423897272&wl4=pla-51320962143&wl5=9005590&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=556104925&wl11=online&wl12=1340622834_101079120&veh=sem&gclid=EAIaIQobChMInPycmMWs-wIVibfICh0U4QSWEAQYBCABEgIu_PD_BwE
yfki1983 Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 I just bought unigear on amazon and it seems pretty solid. just don't get the ones they sell at home depot. I turned it on at 7 am and it was like an icicle by 830.
Belo Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 going on 2 years and no issues. No more mess and waste with the activated ones and can serve as a backup phone charger if you need it. For $24 even it breaks soon it's still cheaper than the single use warmers. Fits great in a muff. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YC8CVWV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Cabin Fever 1 "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" Luke 6:31 and Matthew 7:12
Moho81 Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Do you guys just use one? I don't always bring the hand muff out with me so I'll use one of the activated ones in each hand/pocket.
fletchny11 Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Yea, I have gravitated to a lot of outfits with the built in muff style pocket. Way more comfortable to keep my hands warm and requires just one hand warmer. I wear very light gloves which is my preference and during archery none on my one hand and this works great for me. cervidchasers 1
