Missed opportunity,Nylon 66

So while at a friends in Tenn. we went to a gun shop where my buddy talked to the owner about selling his to the shop, he didn’t have it with him at the time ,but the owner said he’d pay $400 . I’m somewhat familiar with the gun as it’s from my era . 
 

When I got home I thought what a dummy ,I should have given him the $400 and brought it home !

And to think in '59 that were just under $50.

I got one in one of my safes, haven't seen it in years.  I'll sell it to you for less then that.

Not that they are bad guns, but they are overpriced imo. Lots of nostalgia, and I’m sure more than a few didn’t survive a drop. However, they’re not rare, and I’ve always thought they felt like a toy.

If I remember correctly, they had a version in the mid 70's that didn't do so well.  But the earlier models(59 into mid 60's) are desirable. 

Yes, felt more like a crossman bb gun.

Was it the brown or green version? The green ones were more rare.

Hum now I don’t feel as bad . Don’t know the color never saw the gun.

I did get a new Sig hat, my forth , my friend is friends with Sigs National sales director , he wasn’t home but I got to tour his home as his wife was there . Hope,to meet him next time seems like a handy connection to have .
