I checked mine yesterday,  still quite small.  Another couple of days and I will pick a couple dozen for myself.

Thats the one patch i have others that are maybe 100 ft x 100ft

I used to love looking into my Dad's creel when we went fishing. It was often something like 4 trout, 2 frogs and some leeks or mushrooms.

Southern Appalachia calls them ramps. Notherners call them wild leeks.   Not to be confused  with the leeks in the produce department

We call them ramps here in VT.  My cousin harvests and sell hundreds of pounds every spring.  It will be a bit before we have any in Central VT.  The snow just melted a few days ago.

Many early Springs in 2 completely  different  areas,I would see 2 to 3 very Silent Hispanics  with big White Sacks Picking Leeks. 

  They were both Quick and Quiet about it and worked together  without a Word and a Surprised Quick Nod for me.

  Have not seen them this year.
