Water Rat Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 I'm not sure if the tail is partially hidden behind the vegetation or not. I'm thinking housecat. I think I see spots but not sure.
mowin Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 That's a tuff one. But leaning towards bobcat. Dr Juice 1
nywaw Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Face looks like a house cat. Can't tell what's going on with the rear and tail situation exactly. Bucksnbows 1
JohnPlav Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 I vote housecat Robhuntandfish, Bucksnbows and Bionic 3
grampy Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 The tail on a bobcat is just a bit shorter than what I'm seeing in the picture. That makes me want to say housecat. But.....the markings are kind of similar to a bobcat?? I'll go with my initial gut feeling, and say bobcat. Final answer.
Robhuntandfish Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Typical Feral cat. Might have lost part of its tail "it's pointless for humans to paint scenes of nature when they can go outside and stand in it"- Ron Swanson
2BuckBizCT Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 (edited) Forget about the animal. The temperature is 109 degrees in Janaury and it's daylight at 1045pm! Where is this camera? Edited April 18, 2023 by 2BuckBizCT Bucksnbows 1

Bucksnbows Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 I’m going house cat. I see tons of bobcats and that’s not one IMO. lucky118 1 "A sinking fly is closer to Hell" - Anonymous https://www.troutscapes.com https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board

Some with longer tails. This one is difficult because there's nothing in the pic next the kitty to gage the size. Bucksnbows 1

HeavyUser Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 I vote not bobcat. The colors aren't right, the face also looks off.
