What is it lately with innocent people being shot. Because they went to the wrong address, or were just simply lost? Are people getting so paranoid these days, that they just shoot first and ask questions later? If you shoot an innocent person, you should expect to be prosecuted !

They should let the parents of the dead girl kill this guy in any manner they like. Saves $ on court & prison.

Happened just up the road from my co-worker. It's shameful, sad and totally unnecessary. That poor girl's family must be going through hell.

But you have to be touched in the head to send two rounds into a car that is turning around in your driveway.

I don't know if it's a change in society, or if it's always been this way. I've just met so many people over the past 5-10 years who talk or act on the extremes. I can't tell you how many times I've heard some itteration of "he needs to be shot"...Is it a surprise that eventually someone acts on this? I just don't understand it...

I get that crime is up, a whole bunch all across the country. And that it alarms some people. But whatever happened to common sense, and common decency??? I get how some want to protect themselves. But..... unless your life is in imminent danger, you just can't use deadly force!!!! This world gets more wacked by the day sadly.

This is very close to me, if the story is true it’s tragic. I have a feeling there will be more to this story.

I believe Older Folks ( like myself and wife ) may feel the need for more home security . I do not agree with this shooting but I understand why it may have happened . I never obtained a Pistol Permit but would not mind having one as of late with all the BS that is going on ! For the heck of it we purchased Pepper Spray and leave them on our night stands in case ! Ya never know !

Why do you think it happened?

I have turned around in many people's driveways over the 50 years I have been driving. I have yet to be shot at. I have had people at the head of my driveway - the end of a mile-long road that only goes to my place - and I haven't shot at them. If I see them I usually walk out to help them on their way. I don't walk out armed.

I also have turned around in many driveways and never been shot at ! I would Guestimate there is more to this than has been reported or I hope there is more . In the meantime a young lady has lost her life and a Family has to grieve , prayers for the Family !
