In the Picture below are my 6 Long Boxes.  Some Turkey Hunters and Callmakers say this is the Type of Turkey Call to always have with you.  They will be somewhat Louder then the medium and Short Boxes.

The Tones will start near the Front of the Box near the Fixed Screw. Medium and Short Boxes the Tones will start at the middle of the Side Panel.

Custom Long Boxes will be more expensive also. And they are worth it. On the Multiple  Use Areas you want to  sound different  from what the last Man did. And alot of Spring Turkey Hunters use the Mouth Diaphragms/ Horseshoe Calls as their " go to" Caller.  With that knowledge- go out and sound different.

In the Picture below are 2 Longboxes made by Jack Scott of Georgia. Scott's  Cutters. Awesome  cutting on these 2 Long Boxes. I bought them both in the year- 2000 for 65 Bucks.

Next over from the Left is my " Billy Buice" Long Box. I bought this one back in 1999 for 65 Bucks. Magnolia Box and a Honey Locust Lid. It sounds just like the Alfa Old Hen.

The Glass Breaker is next. Super Loud! Made  by Gerald Howard of Arkansas . About 60 Bucks back in the early 2000s. Sassafras  Sideboards  and a Mahogany Lid. This one sounds like the Old Hen also. Go out in early April at Dawn and you will hear one Hen that sounds different  from the others. This is the Alfa Old Hen.

Next up is my Turpin  Long Box made by Steve Turpin back in 2005. Cost me 150 Bucks. Turpin is one of the oldest names in the Turkey Callmaking Business!   Again- another Southren  Callmaker that Tuned his Box to that of the Old Hen.  This Box also throws out the best Gobble,I have heard on a Box. Probably  Tom Turpin had that in mind way back in the day. Who knows.

And the last Long Box is my David Halloran Box. This one cost me $175 Bucks. If,I ever left this one behind at a Tree and another Turkey Hunter found it- he would have the Holy Grail of Long Boxes!

So there you have it.  I switch Callers and Woods Tactics everyday out there more so alone.  That is how you fool em on the Multiple  Use Areas.
