My nephew in Nashville bought 160 acres, ten minutes from his lake house, I have an open invitation to hunt and stay at the lake house . So I looked at the season dates, not interested in bow ,  their gun season starts the same as ours , and if Mrs nomad came along getting back with enough time left to prep for Thanksgiving  , would leave me two days to hunt.

Then he sends me these pics, third time hunting the land he kills one and his buddy let the other walk … turns out it’s ML season ! I’d gladly give up a week of bow here for one of ML there . Ugh , now I gotta wait another year . I could maybe go after Thanksgiving,but I’m sure he’ll be tagged out .

Gotta go for it next year! I'm thinking about doing a mid west hunt next year, before the gun opener here. Just do it! We ain't getting any younger Larry!

Agree Dave, it’s normally 60 there in Nov. take the Mrs. she can go for walks , we can dine out a couple nights seethe family down there . Just have to coordinate with my nephew , he flys around the country a bit for work,  but he sets the schedule.

Of course... I can open a can of spam, toss your hunting clothes in a puddle (good scent control), and listen to you lie about your dominance over woodland critters.

So I told my nephew we’d be down next year to hunt / vacation . Here’s a buck his buddy took off his land on his first sit . My nephew is pumped for us to come and I get his “ park “ stand when I come .
