Northern lights?

I lived at 7,200’ in Colorado and got to see them there and in places like Montana over the years. I have a cousin in Fairbanks, Alaska that is a photographer and he gets some amazing photos of the northern lights.

The night I saw them the best I was fishing for walleye off an old pier and was the only one there.  My buddy showed up at like 11:00 with short bud bottles and a tray of fried walleye. We stayed out til like 2 am and caught our limits.  Awesome night.  Waves of green across the sky.  It took me a couple minutes to figure out what it was.  

Can't imagine what it's like in Alaska.   I would be out there all night.

Some of my most amazing nights have been sitting a dock at night in the far north in Canada watching the Aurora.  Anyone who has the opportunity to travel and see them should.

The best I ever saw them  was on a caribou hunt at Little Marten Lake in NWT, Canada  about 50 miles south of the Arctic Circle in 1994.....They were absolutely breathtaking...

Same up in Canada, a couple times caribou hunting, and once fishing in Labrador.

Been checking the northern sky, but I got nothing! That would be an impressive and memorable light show for sure!

It’s on my bucket list to see them in full glory. Nobody has ever been disappointed when seeing them lol.

Been many opportunity’s here in Webster lately , but I haven’t bothered to get up and drive the three miles to the Lake to view them .

Our friend in Fla organized our Alaska trip last year specifically to see them , we didn’t ,then I sent him photos of them in Webster a bit ago lol .
