left field
If I do them all in one week do I get the CanadianMexicanUSWorldGrandRoyalSuperSlam? The guys also had a dozen mounts from Africa, all with bow, as well as a full mount bow world record Brocket deer. It was a huge little deer. Should have taken more pics. mowin, 2BuckBizCT and dmandoes 3 My Instagram

But regarding the turkeys, I would gladly shake your hand and listen to your stories while drinking alcoholic beverages. I will NOT wear a mask. phade
I got to FaceTime with Rob Keck when he got an ocellated Turkey in Mexico a handful of years ago. One of our buddies was filming him. Pretty cool conversation. The hunting conditions were pretty sweaty as I recall it.

One of our buddies was filming him. Pretty cool conversation. The hunting conditions were pretty sweaty as I recall it. You have no idea how sweaty this place is in May/June. I'm now on a four shower a day schedule and planning to introduce a fifth soon. Buggy as hell too. Apparently the teal hunting is a big deal here. NYT article: Quote OUTDOORS; AN EXOTIC LUXURY By CHARLES MOHR FEW pleasures are so satisfying as one that is anticipated. That dictum seemed especially true as I stood in a jon boat, concealed by the waxy green leaves of freshly cut mangrove branches. Venus hung like a spotlight in the eastern sky as a barefoot Mayan guide, whose distant forebearers had accurately plotted the wanderings of that planet and built a temple to it, blew a twittering call through a hole drilled in a beer bottle cap. In the dim first light, flights of ducks cupped their wings to land in our mail order, plastic decoys. I have hunted ducks from northern India to the Manitoba prairies. Like most modern hunters I usually shoot, quite literally, only a handful of ducks. A February trip to the state of Yucatan in Mexico provided a novel exception. I had long wanted to hunt in that country, with its large wintering populations, favored geographic position at the end of several North American waterfowl flyways and its generous bag limits. Hunting only two or three hours a day in the vast mangrove lagoons on the northwestern coast of the Yucatan peninsula, I saw thousands of ducks, watched scores swing over my decoys every morning and shot close to my limit of 15 birds a day. Although there are remarkable similarities in wildfowling anywhere, a Mexican trip provides a kind of exotic, if mud-splattered, luxury that a frost-bitten American duck hunter can come to love. NYT article: Yeah, it had to be 4-5 years ago but I just remember our buddy and Rob talking about how miserable the conditions were for hunting in general with the heat and humidity. He was close to water and I guess that made it a multiple factor worse, too. Showering has to be one of those experiences where you get out and feel like you need a shower by the time you’re done dressing.
