Black Bear Comes A Calling.

I had to cut short my New Jersey Turkey Hunt this Morning.  Even though, I heard a good 12 Big Birds.

At my 2nd Setup,I saw a Black Bear walk straight to the area where my 1st Setup was and where,I had called alot from. It was roughly 100 yards.

I cut right to Leave after seeing the Bear cut Left. The Bear saw me and Reversed and walked to a point above me that,I had to Travel through.

Plenty of - " Bear" from me..

I cut left and got on a Trail that circles this whole high area. I had 2 ways out and had a Feeling the Bear would appear on this side as well.

I took the Tough uphill Trail and sure enough the Bear appeared  directly  below me a good 60 yards below and looked up at me.  More - " Bear" from me.

Kept checking my back trail on the way out.

Nothing Threatening  but,I was ready to Kill him and had the snap on my Knife Sheath Loosened  just in case.

A few pics below where he appeared above me at his first Cutoff.

Always carry a Man Sized Knife with you.

My Dad can’t hear for shit. He tried Turkey hunting one time many years ago . He was calling and got slammed in the back of the head by a red fox.

The Fox thought he might be a Turkey Hen and probably  realize right away that it was a Man instead.

That's funny as heck.  I'm sure at the time he thought the end was near, lol.

Called in a bear while turkey hunting in the Catskills.  I was filming and didn't have a shotgun. Bear came within 15' of me.  I was so shook up, I couldn't find the thing in the viewfinder.  Finally found it running, thankfully, away from me.
