left field Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Just picked one up as I am tired of doing a poor job by hand. Does anyone have one? Experiences? Rusty 1 My Instagram

I've got the same one. It does take a little getting used to, but it does a great job. Had a couple knives that were in horrible condition. Worked great to bring them back to usable condition.
left field Posted November 15, 2022 Author Posted November 15, 2022 Good to hear. Looks idiot proof, which should help. Rusty and mowin 2 My Instagram
Moho81 Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 I have one as well. It does a good job but does take some getting use to. My first couple of knives I screwed up and rounded the tip but was able to work that out. left field 1

Farflung Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 got one. like it pretty well for hunting and kitchen knives. tough to use on small folding knives.
Nomad Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 Always practice on lesser knives first when using a new system, then once you got that down break out the good knives . Theres a lot to be said of convex edges , not my favorite though.
crappyice Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 I have a work sharp but a different model. Does good work and easy enough. I wish they sold the replacement sanding bands by individual size as opposed to having to buy all the varying levels of grit each time when I really just use the standard grit (red I think?) Belo 1
treeguy Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 Solid unit. As everybody already said, little finesse and it's an awesome tool
Belo Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 I have the non KO edition and it's great. I even use it for sharpening mower blades and pruners. The only issue I've had is the point of a knife, i've done a bunch of research and still find this method hard to keep a good point.
