Water Rat Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Just finished my clothes for Monday. Hope it’s not a total washout. Belo, turkeyfeathers, ATbuckhunter and 3 others 6
dbHunterNY Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 i really have to do this but this week is solid rain.
mowin Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Did mine before youth season, but I should probably freshen em up.
dbHunterNY Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 other thing that i think has probably helped is i typically wear Under Armour compression heat gear shirt and pants. keeps those little blood thirsty aholes off your skin. you want to layer on a chilly morning though or you'll get cold.
Bucndoe Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Looking like I will still be in Dover for the race on Monday. Weekend forecast is rain. Been here since Wednesday and it started raining at 9am today
Chromeslayer Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Good to see guys spraying ... ticks are def no joke but i dont buy that one spray is good for several weeks or several washings.. i dont do much turkey hunting but train beagles nearly every day if time allows and i spray my clothes everytime im in the field.. i mix my own solution alil hotter than your typical Sawyers.. havent found a tick on myself or the hounds in along time PraiseDiana 1

Stubborn1vt Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Just sprayed mine. 2 sets of outers and my pack. Just have to remember to get them under cover before it rains. Weather forecast looks like a steamy pile of sh%t.

Hopefully it works til the cold weather shows up.
Robhuntandfish Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 I spray down before I go out for each hunt for turkey season. PraiseDiana 1 "it's pointless for humans to paint scenes of nature when they can go outside and stand in it"- Ron Swanson
Water Rat Posted April 30, 2023 Author Posted April 30, 2023 I don’t know how Sawyer’s can claim that their insect repellent is odorless when dry. I know I can smell it. If I can smell it, I know the deer can. That’s why I hate using it during deer season. DirtTime 1
