DirtTime
The new shotgun uses Benelli/Beretta Mobil chokes. I've been trying to find out of the mobil chokes are the same as invector chokes without much luck. So I guess I'll ask if anyone here can answer: Are Browning Mobil chokes the same thing as Browning Invector chokes? Buckmaster7600
No, browning invector threads are on the chamber end of the choke beretta/Benelli Mobil threads are on the muzzle end. DirtTime
DirtTime
Something ain't right. Here's the chokes that came with the gun. These aren't mobil chokes. The ones I have for the Steven's 320 won't fit. _

I have 2 rem choke 20ga handy and I got 1/8” in front of threads, 9/16” of threads, 1 5/16” from threads to muzzle on both of them. Seems very close but not exact. I don’t know if they tried to use remchoke and their machining is that far off, Or if it’s their proprietary choke pattern.
dbHunterNY
DirtTime.... Beretta/Benelli Mobile chokes are their own type. I have a bunch if it's a 12ga. what ammo are you shooting for turkeys?

It took a lot of digging but I managed to find a couple of videos saying it's 'modeled' after the 870. 49 minutes ago, dbHunterNY said: DirtTime.... Beretta/Benelli Mobile chokes are their own type. It could be bad if the barrel is built to the same dimensions as the choke if you’re going to try a standard rem choke! DirtTime
I was contemplating a slightly better turkey choke, but I definitely want to get a .000 cylinder choke to see how the shogun does with slugs. I'm thinking I might just take one of the chokes into a shop and see what lines up. There are three versions of the Escort Feild model, V1, V2, and a V3. Mines the V3 so the chokes are def not the mobil system. I'm just going to run what it came with for now. I just can't use steel or any of the harder shot with the turkey choke it has, I'll have to stick with lead and copper-plated lead. _

DirtTime
That's why I'm going to head into a shop with once of the chokes. I'd rather not fart around with return shipping or trying to return something to a shop when most of them won't accept a return even if it's an exchange. _
dbHunterNY
HatsanUSA is the parent distributor for Escort shotguns. depending on the Version 1, 2, or 3 they're all different choke patterns. the 12ga is listed as a Rem Choke but not the 20ga. TRULock chokes are a go to for outsourced factory OEM chokes. They elude to it being it's own pattern/dimensions. https://trulockchokes.com/?target=choke_results&category_id=11&filter[attribute][7][114]=114&filter[attribute][4][326]=
DirtTime
Read a couple of posts in other places of guys ordering chokes from Tru Lock and them not fitting either. As I said, I think it's a crap shoot unless I physically take the chokes or the gun to a shop and get it sorted. I should just be happy with the chokes it has, the extra full turkey, mod, and IC. But, every once in a while, I get these ideas of trying to improve my shotguns... I appreciate you guys helping out on this one. _

You shouldn’t have to be “happy”, you bought a shotgun with interchangeable chokes for a reason. I went through a similar goat Rowling with a mossberg over under picatinny rail that nothing in the world fit on. It was very frustrating because that rail was the reason I bought the gun. Same issue an outsourced gun that came from turkey. It went down the road. Edited May 2, 2023 by Buckmaster7600
