NYRturkeycall
Sprayed two pairs of clothes with permethrin yesterday evening around 5:00 p.m. Left them outside to dry. It rained overnight around 2:00 a.m. And it's still lightly raining. Any issue with putting them in the dryer with a dead downwind dryer sheet for them to dry or should I just dry them and respray them inside? First day out is tomorrow morning. SportsmanNH
I called Sawyers a couple years ago for how long the permethrin was good for stored . They told me 5 years. But in talking to them they made a suggestion on washing and drying hunting outfits which made sense . After you wash your sprayed out fit , turn it inside out before putting it in the dryer . They claimed doing that protected the layer of permethrin from getting rubbed off on the dryer drum. That was their advice . I still give my clothes a light spray after the second washing even though they say its good for 5-6 washings .
