Bucksnbows
……for my first turkey weekend of May. Headed up to the Garrattsville area near Cooperstown on Friday and returning Sunday. A couple of mornings turkey hunting with my best friend of 54 years and then helping he and his wife prune their 5 acre high fence pick-your-own blueberry patch. Our other friends (husband and wife) will also be up to join us. My wife had long planned weekend with our daughter in the city, so I’m flying solo. Much better turkey numbers there than where I hunt in NJ. So if you feel a disturbance in the force, it’s just me. Bucksnbows
I will probably sit with one buddy on Saturday and the other on Sunday and do the calling for both. Maybe we get a lucky chance at a double. We never turkey hunted the new farm, so lots to learn. Going to try to roost some tomorrow evening. If not this trip, I'll be back the weekend of May 19th with the wife in tow this time. I’m not sure what it’s called as it does have a name. I’ll find out tomorrow and let you know.
