Bear Attacks My Bees

My bear alarms went off for the first time this year. The alarms are on the beehives, which are 15 yards from my house. I went out , saw a black figure biting one of the hives. I yelled at it and sicked the dogs on it. Dogs were smelling the bear and barking. Went back to bed, and alarm goes off again. This time grabbed a gun with a wicked light on it. Opened the door, hit the light and got off couple shots in the dirt. Let dogs out again, and he didn't come back for the rest of the night. Today in addition to the alarm, I have rigged up the "electric bacon". It's from the electric fence on my pig paddocks. It's an insulated stiff wire, with a few inches of insulation pulled off, with a piece of bacon on it. When he smells it or bites it, he's not gonna like it. We'll see if he comes back tonight. I got a couple pics of him in the pig paddock.
