turkeyfeathers
Bought couple pairs of these. $70’ish IIRC My hearing has definitely succumbed over the years. I’m 53. Couple rounds sent on turkeys , deer each year without them I think has done its damage. Tried wearing a pair other day turkey hunting. Didn’t like whilst calling. Tips , thoughts appreciated . Have used basic muffs simply shooting for a long time. grampy
grampy
I hear ya Jay.......pun intended. My hearing is getting real bad now. I'm going to look into hearing aids soon. I'm what'ing everyone now. Driving the Mrs nuts. But she says I have selective hearing. Sometimes that's true! turkeyfeathers
Lawdwaz
I know I'm pretty bad too. When Costco finally opens here (a couple years?) I'll be in line. grampy
Buckmaster7600
I’m down 50% and 70% in my hearing and I have hearing aids from the VA. I got them thinking I would wear them hunting. I think they make it worse! I have zero directional hearing with them in and if there’s any kind of wind they’re absolutely useless. Only advice I can give is do everything you can do to keep the hearing you have! Nontypical
I got hearing aids over 2 years ago after being in denial forever. There are still downfalls with them, but it has really improved my everyday life. Now I only say what about half the time. And for anyone thinking about it, if you have Blue Cross/Blue Shield, they pay 100%. Doebuck1234
mowin
I've used hearing protection for 30+ yrs, and I still have some hearing loss. Couldn't imagine how bad it would be if I hadn't used any at all. I've got the walkers also. Only used them a couple times, but they seem to work well. Doebuck1234
It has deff done some damage not using them over the years. At 31 years old i have tinnitus, not bad but faint ringing that comes and goes.think that could also be part of allergies as ears feel full often.either way I needed to do something to protect what I've got left

There was a difference for me, but now I heard EVERY noise, including every squeak of the floor as well as loud coughs and sneezes which were now VERY LOUD. I had them adjusted three times and they still were bothersome to me. In a quiet room and only a couple people, they did help, but for everyday go about your business I did not feel a vast improvement. One nice feature was the Bluetooth hookup which I could use all day long without anyone knowing I was listening to music and not them (lol, sorry wifey). G-man
Friends hunt with seemed to have trouble hearing I kept.telling him he was deft. He went and got checked and was nearly deft. Got hearing aid that allow him to adjust for hunting ( he can hear mice moving under leaves now ) and normal day life and going to concerts via Bluetooth connnection.. it's made him a much more effective hunter. Got them inexpensive at Costco. I'll have to ask him brand.
