Swede Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 I shoot a stryker katna. No longer made. It came with black eagle accustrike light arrows. 250 gr half moon 20 inch. No longer available. After extensive hunting I found black eagle pro flight with the exact same specs right down to the helical. Problem they showed up with flat nock. Not flat cap but flat threaded. Does something get screwed in or not. Would it be advisable to shoot flats when originally came with half moon. Bow shoots great with arrows I had. 1 left
Swede Posted May 8, 2023 Author Posted May 8, 2023 Ok now I'm really confused. The flat nock end is threaded but the broadhead end has no threads for inserting ends. Wth
dbHunterNY Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 don't know about the knock end as i don't have much experience with crossbows. the point for the front is actually threaded further down into the insert. unscrew a point or broadhead from one you've got and you'll see what i mean. Swede 1
Swede Posted May 8, 2023 Author Posted May 8, 2023 You are correct. Heads screw in. Why threaded hole in nock. Not sure about flat one.

What you have are Excalibur bolts with their weird nock system. Not sure so sure that you can just use them as is with your crossbow. Not sure where you are but I'd call a local shop that sells Excalibur Xbows. One in this area of NY is Whitney's Hunting Supply (518) 642-9570, located in Granville. Call them and they could help you out. They can even hook you up with bolts you need if these don't work. They can ship them to your door if you're not close. Open tomorrow after 10am. grampy Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 Always use only the nocks stated by the crossbow manufacturer. Any deviation could cause a major malfunction to the crossbow. And or injury to the shooter. 2BuckBizCT 1
