mowin Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 (edited) So what's everyone have planned for this weekend besides honoring those that gave the ultimate sacrifice to our country? I'm doing a whole hog for a 25th wedding anniversary/memorial day gathering on Sunday. Monday, wife and I have about 20 family and friends coming over for some BBQ. Planning on brisket, pulled pork, and all the usual sides. The smoker will be working OT this weekend. Edited May 25, 2023 by mowin Robhuntandfish, Bucksnbows, Don_C and 3 others 6
DirtTime Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 Hunting Friday and maybe Saturday morning before going to a cookout at my brother's. Hunting Sunday and Monday. I would have loved to have been camping for the weekend but just not in the cards for this year. Robhuntandfish and mowin 2 _
Wolc123 Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 I am heading up north to the in-laws place, in the NW Adirondacks. I will be fishing Saturday morning, out on the lake, at sunrise. Im bringing my turkey hunting gear. If I hear any gobbles on the surrounding hills, I’ll hit those spots Sunday and/or Monday morning. Last year, I heard several, but the black flies drove me back out onto the lake, after maybe 1/2 hour in the woods. Hopefully, they won’t be as bad this year. They have never been a problem, out on the lake. GreeneHunter, mowin and Robhuntandfish 3
Robhuntandfish Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 Def a packed weekend. I also have Tues off. Sat BBQ at the house and throwing some ribs and sausage and beans in the smoker, with tater salad and fried cabbage. Sunday Corey and I are mowing trails at the hunting land. Might maybe sneak in a last turkey hunt that morn. Monday out on the lake to do some fishing. Tues GF and I are going to my brothers out in Adams Center for the day. A good weekend to all to kick off the summer and remembrance of others. mowin, Wolc123 and DirtTime 3 "it's pointless for humans to paint scenes of nature when they can go outside and stand in it"- Ron Swanson

Bucksnbows Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 Nothing of significance for the weekend, but I leave Monday morning for Deposit, NY for a 23rd annual fly fishing trip through next Friday with some great friends. I’m sure it will be yard and garden work ahead of my week off. mowin 1 "A sinking fly is closer to Hell" - Anonymous https://www.troutscapes.com https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board

phade Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 (edited) Painting, laying some vinyl planking hopefully. Was supposed to be going to Charleston today through Monday but work beckons. On the flip side, picking up two of my three shoulder mounts this evening. So there is that. Edited May 25, 2023 by phade mowin and Robhuntandfish 2
2BuckBizCT Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 Hosting pool party sunday. We've had some great ones of the years and now they include lots of little kids. Should be around 40+ people sunday (26 adults, 14-18 kids). We'll have kanjam, cornhole, beer pong, flip cup, tons of food and lots of stuff for the kids. These damn cold nights in the 40's are gonna cost me a fortune to heat the pool to 86-88 degrees for the toddlers/babies. mowin 1
Nomad Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 Euchre party Friday night, lunch with my BIL’s widow Sat, with a stop to put flowers on wife’s families graves at Woodlawn cemetery Canandaigua . The rest will be filled with power washing , concrete cleaning maybe sealing / staining , and a boat load of yard work . I’ll squeeze in some grilling , puff a cigar or two, maybe even a beer here and there . Oh and watch a few Cardinals games . Pretty much what I do most days anyways . mowin 1
