left field Posted May 26, 2023 Author Posted May 26, 2023 (edited) Huge. Seriously would have won a tournament without stuffing it full of lead. I took a little girl to the same dock for her first fishing trip. Bought her a pink "Little Princess" fishing rod for $10. Put on a worm and bobber and helped her cast it out. Ten seconds later the bobber goes deep and I hear her say, "I think I need help," as she's getting dragged to the edge of the dock. I grab her and the rod and feel the weight of a big fish. The $10 reel has now ceased so I have to hand line this thing in. I get it close to the dock when a monster bass explodes out of the water and lands on the dock at her feet smashing her legs. She screams as I'm trying to get this this fish under control. I just get my hands around it as the reel unspools and the fish thrashes back into the water and breaks off. I look down at the bird's nest of line around the pink reel and then up at the kid who was as far back as she can be on the dock. She looks at me and says, "I don't think I like fishing." We went back to the cottage for s'mores. Edited May 26, 2023 by left field The_Real_TCIII, Robhuntandfish and mowin 1 2 My Instagram

No sense in fishing and risk catching a monster you can't measure. Ncountry 1
