I've always wanted to do this and this year I'm bringing along a Cheap Trail Camera and setting it up on a Gut Pile (if me or my son get one that is) .... Whenever we score the next day it looks like someone came through with a Mop and cleaned up , hopefully I/we get some good pic's !

Gut piles don't last long in my area either.  Definitely don't last overnight, and a few didn't last till noon when gutted only a few hours earlier.

2 gut piles in the pictures - far one isn't very visible.

Piles created Opening day (11/19) First visitors were deer @ 2:5 AM - a deer at each pile

A few trash pandas and crow, but then this guy showed up - got a few other pictures, but his feathers blend in with the leaves, so it's hard to see.   When I pull the card from the camera, I'm hoping the hi-res pics will be better.
