Heard this on The Okayest Hunter podcast and thought it might be cool to do here. Where ya goin' Saturday (as specific as you feel comfortable with) and what are ya bringin'?

I'll kick it off, going to 1 of the 2 public land chunks I scouted in 4A depending on the head count when I pull in. First time ever doing the rifle thing on public land, so this will be a bit of a shock to my system, I'm sure. I'll be bringing along my brandy dandy new Ruger American in 7mm-08 that's already proven to be an absolute tack driver for the money, topped with Vortex glass.

I’ll be heading up to 7m tomorrow in the town of German at my buddies farm. My Tikka 270 Win will be my Gun. Very happy with it.

I'll be heading out back in 8F. As always I will be using my Mossberg 535 ATS.

Leaving NJ by noon for the Garrattsville, New Lisbon area off route 61.  Hunting our two farms through Sunday then driving east of Cooperstown Monday morning to do some drives with a client/friend in his family's beaver swamp and hemlock forest.  I'm carrying my new (last year) Kimber Hunter in .257 Roberts.  Good luck and be safe, all!

8A. Given the weather and the property, I'll likely sit in an elevated box blind in the corner of a field that still has standing corn. I'll be toting the Savage .308.

7F on our regular hunting land.  Bringing the 30-06 opening day.  Planning to be at the stand I saw a giant 8 point at.  Hopefully he wanders out.

I always let my nephew and great-nephews pick first, and Kayden picked the spot I was thinking about.  So I'm patiently waiting for Dom and Shaun to pick their spots, so I can pick mine.  Plenty of room

Sadly, for me it's almost as much about being visible to potential trespassers as it is about where I think I'll have the best chance at success.

My time is very short. I have Sat morning, Sunday all day, Mon afternoon. Off to South Africa on Wednesday, back 12 days later for five days, then Mexico until end of March.
