Great day fishing with my daughter

Talk about a perfect day to be outside, the temps were amazing!  I took my daughter for a hike and then we stopped at Assunpink Lake for a bit.  We got to break in her Princess rod but after two fish I was told "I don't like my Princess rod, I want a big girl rod like daddy's".  Well that was the end of my fishing as she promptly claimed my rod for the rest of the trip! 

Really fun time and a memorable trip, she has such great energy and you can see it in her smile!  Hope she continues to fish with me as she gets older!

And she even touched the fish! I still have a hard time getting my 13 year old daughter to touch the fish LOL

It took a little coaxing but once she knew there were no teeth she was good!  I let her touch all the fish to get her familiar, she even held a sunfish in her hands.  Will see how she does as time goes on, hopefully the "start em young" with holding fish sticks!
