Moving companies in Buffalo ?

Anyone there have any they know of that are reasonable $  ? Samantha is moving from a one bedroom apt ( 2nd floor ) to a house 15 minutes away . Last time I moved her stuff out of a  first floor apt. into storage, then hired movers a month later to go from storage to this apt. It took three guys one and a half hours . She’s getting quotes that are pretty step for this move with 4-6 hour minimums  , no appliances, all the boxes will already have been moved, so a bedroom set and living room set plus a kitchen table and chairs , tv and stand .

I really don’t want to rent a truck and do it myself .

I have a fireman buddy here who does 400 moving jobs a year , but it’s three hours round trip plus fuel which knocks out any savings .

I have a couple of movers that I hire to help us move large and heavy items at work .  They're very reliable and are  usually very reasonably  priced.  

I'll grab the number from my work phone in the morning and send it to you.

I worked for a moving company years ago on Saturdays.  I wouldn't trust any of them.

You should hold a WNY gathering at your daughters place. You run the grill while everyone unloads and moves stuff in. Beer and venison when they are done!!!

Those Buffalo guys are all too,old , they  need an ATV to get a deer out !

there’s a mounted grill in the back yard that the neighbors said the gas company put in decades ago,it’s piped from the basement line to the grill . Pretty sure it doesn’t work

I heard too many horror stories to hire a moving company. Instead I hired @crappyice and his twin boys to help. Rented a uhaul and we knocked out the heavy stuff in a few hours. Then a week or two later rented it again for lighter stuff with my brother. Maybe there’s a few guys that are friends/family they can hire and have peace of mind

The issue is I don’t want to drive to Buffalo , go to uhaul , stand in line, get it drive to apt, load it drive to house unload ,go fuel truck ,return it and end up being a half hour away from the house,while people there are eating and drinking . That’s to much hassle for me . Hire movers supervise and eat and drink myself .

Ive moved probably 20 or so family members, friends ,co workers ,including driving to NYC double parking loading my daughters stuff from the second floor and driving back to Rochester in one day ,4am to 7pm actually . 

anyways I’m off to the house at 6 am to sparkle ,sand and paint, will,stay there  a couple days .no furniture, just a sleeping bag ,some cigars , booze and a 9mm, stop by Buffalo guys .  Bring food….

Zito movers..  there are 2 seperate companies  they are brothers..  went to highschool with them.   Both are highly recommended by friends that used them

The few times I used uhaul it was contactless with no lines. You make appt in advance. I Picked big box truck in NY and dropped it off in CT. Super easy. You take a few pics on your phone and submit. Drop the keys through the door
