RIP Rick McDermott

Sadly the founder of NYCC Rick McDermott and his wife,  were killed in a motor vehicle accident yesterday near Pulaski NY. He was a true warrior for changing the crossbow legislation. He was also a great guy to talk to. I last spoke to him a couple months ago at the Syracuse outdoors show. His passion and personality will be missed by many. We will carry on in your name. RIP

just reading his last NYCC post this morning. He was a great guy and very dedicated to various conservation projects, although he was best known statewide for sheparding the NY  Crossbow Coalition organization.

I spoke with him on the phone one time. He was a gentleman and very informative.
